Council Initiates Five-Year Review of the Groundfish Trawl Catch Share Program with Public Hearings to be Held August 31 through September 29, 2016
The Pacific Fishery Management Council is undertaking a review of its:
- trawl catch share program (Amendment 20 to the groundfish fishery management plan [FMP]), and
- intersector allocations (including Amendment 21 to the groundfish FMP).
Opportunities for Public Input
Coastal community hearings on the catch share program and intersector allocations will be held starting on August 31 and continuing through September 29, 2016. Please see the Groundfish Trawl Catch Share Program Public Hearings announcement on the Council’s website for hearing dates, locations, and handout materials.
