Updates and changes needed in the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), which includes the handling of food by-products for animal food, the allergen cross contact issues and the mandatory GMP training required for the Supervisors and above. The requirements for FSMA in which if you handle or process non-seafood products, it requires a Food Safety Plan, that requires the plan be developed by a “Qualified Individual” trained in the Preventive Controls for Human Foods. Transportation will also be needed by all food firms under the FSMA regulation.
Who Should Enroll?
Seafood Distributors and Processors, Business Owners, Plant Managers and QA/QC Personnel.
Benefits: The updates and changes will be discussed, so that you will know what the new requirements you need to comply with. The GMP sections will be enforced as of September 19, 2016, since the final rule for CFR 21 Part 117, Part B – Current Good Manufacturing Practices was finalized in September of 2015. US FDA can enforce this section now, for all food firms. The Preventive Controls for Human Foods will be enforced next year, starting in September, 2017, for most food firms. (Seafood HACCP firms are exempt)
