Bill Patriquin, the former President of the California Fisheries Association and former Board Member of California Seafood Institute has recently passed away.
Bill, who was known to many of us as “Truck Load Bill” or “Big Bill”, passed away on July 1st, 2015 due to heart failure. He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle, sons Doug, Blaine, and Matthew, and his five grandchildren, Rayhan, Brandon, Justine, Brooklyn, and Payton.
Bill was born in Rockport, Massachusetts on August 17, 1943. His contributions throughout his life are many. In addition to serving on the Boards of the California Fisheries Association and the California Seafood Institute, he was a member of the Coast Guard; was employed with AR Lantz and Meridian, Blacksmith, HS Seafood (Hal Smith), and owned his own business. Bill was also a coach for his boys’ baseball teams.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Bill’s family. He will truly be missed.
