A seafood restaurant located in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, Nancy’s, has had a high-profile employee on staff this summer – Sasha Obama, the daughter of U.S. President Barack Obama.
The 15-year First Daughter works behind the takeout window at the restaurant, helping to operate the cash register behind the scenes as well as busing tables and helping to prep the establishment for lunch. According to the Boston Herald, Sasha is often accompanied to Nancy’s by a contingent of Secret Service agents.
“She’s been working downstairs at takeout,” said a server at the busy island eatery to the newspaper. “We were wondering why there were six people helping this girl, but then we found out who it was.”
Nancy’s is a favorite for the presidential family when they visit for their annual summer vacation. The restaurant has been in business since the 1960s, serving a variety of seafood including lobster rolls, fried clams, sea scallops, local haddock and more.
