In December last year, Trident Seafoods announced a restructuring plan that included the sale of four processing plants in Alaska.
Trident Seafoods is selling its Kodiak processing facility in Alaska to Pacific Seafood, with the deal expected to close next month. This sale is part of Trident’s broader restructuring plan announced last year, which included selling four processing plants in Alaska. Trident has already sold two facilities in Petersburg and False Pass. The Kodiak plant processes various seafood, including halibut, crab, salmon, and Pacific cod. Both companies are focused on a smooth transition for employees and operations. Pacific Seafood plans to expand its presence in Kodiak, with Ashton Meier leading the enlarged operations. Trident also reinforced its leadership team in September, appointing a COO and promoting two executives.
