Prop 65 Emergency BPA Regulations Update

PROP 65 EMERGENCY REGULATIONS ON BPA WILL REQUIRE SUPPLIERS OF FOOD OR BEVERAGE IN CANS, BOTTLES, AND JARS TO PROVIDE WARNING SIGNS TO RETAILERS- – RETAILERS MUST DISPLAY SIGNS AT CASH REGISTER.  ALL MUST BE IN COMPLIANCE BY MAY 11, 2016 OR RISK HEAVY FINES, PENALTIES, SHAKE DOWN LAWSUITS. 

Below you can read all about these new emergency regulations and how they might affect your business. Items anticipated to be covered are canned seafood, sauces, anything that has any level of bisphenol A (BPA).  BPA is a chemical known by the state of California to cause harm to the reproductive system.
