During the week of 18-21 November 2019, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) hosted an International Symposium on Fisheries Sustainability: Strengthening the Science-Policy Nexus. The four day meeting brought together a wide range of scientists, fisheries experts, governments, fisherfolk organizations, civil society organizations, and the private sector to discuss ways to move towards sustainable fisheries in the 21st century.
