The California Fisheries and Seafood Institute (CFSI) is opposing AB 3030. The bill, in its current form, threatens the livelihoods of CFSI members as well as their ability to provide and deliver California seafood. The primary reason for opposition is the ambiguity with which this bill treats the fishing industry and the substantial, precautionary and effective state and federal fishery management laws that govern it.
