The Pacific Fishery Management Council (Council) and its advisory bodies will meet March 8-14, 2018 in Rohnert Park, California to address issues related to salmon, groundfish, ecosystem, highly migratory species, and Pacific halibut. Key agenda items for the meeting include Council considerations to:
- Adopt Final Management Ecosystem Management Strategy Evaluation for Potential Use in Future Assessments and Management Decisions.
- Receive a Report on the Status of the California Current Large Marine Ecosystem.
- Make Recommendations for Pacific Halibut Inseason Changes to April 2018 Retention Limits in the Salmon Troll Fishery, as Necessary; Adopt Public Review Options for Retention in 2018 and April 2019 Salmon Troll Fishery; and Adopt Final Retention Limits for 2018 Fixed Gear Sablefish Fishery.
- Adopt a Final Range of Alternatives (ROA) for Trawl Catch Share Review Follow-On Actions.

- Adopt Ocean Salmon Management Alternatives for Public Review.
