Food facilities that manufacture, process, pack, or store food for consumption in the United States must renew their U.S. FDA food facility registrations by December 31, 2018. FDA cautions that “updating” a registration is different than “renewing” a registration, so make sure you renew. FDA will consider registrations not renewed by the deadline to be expired. Facilities located outside of the United States must designate a U.S. Agent for FDA communications in Section 7 of their registration renewal.
