The US Congress is considering HR 4521 that includes sections that will dramatically expand the Seafood Import Monitoring Program ( SIMP) that would impose wildly unrealistic and unworkable demands on seafood producers and importers which will inevitably lead to crushing additional costs and barriers to international trade.
